The defenders of Azovstal showed incredible bravery and resilience during the three-month defense of the plant, becoming an inspiration for many. Despite living in terrible conditions and under constant shelling, they held back the enemy until the very end. The Ukrainian authorities eventually ordered the evacuation of military personnel on May 16 to save their lives, which led to their captivity by Russia for over four months.
